The PayPal Merchant Services AI team designs, builds, maintains, and improves the machine learning models and ML infrastructure that are used by PayPal’s large enterprise clients. As a Machine Learning Engineer in our fast-moving, small entrepreneurial team, you will design, build, and optimize our multiple recommendation systems, as well as the ML pipeline and data infrastructure. You will own projects end-to-end and drive design decisions that affect millions of users world wide.
Build and improve the online and offline data stores used by several production machine learning systems
Maintain and improve real time recommendation systems and pipeline
Build and optimize ML models that feed into various recommendation systems
MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field, specialization in ML/AI.
Solid knowledge in statistics/experiment design
1+ years of full time development experience
Experience in OOD and programming languages (Java/Scala)
Knowledge of relational databases and query authoring (SQL)
